Responsibilities
Build/develop, customize & deploy PHP/MySQL based plugins for WordPress CMS.
Design/develop custom PHP/MySQL based web services or web components – based on provided business requirements or functional specifications.
Analyze existing 3rd party free/commercial PHP based wordpress plugins and customize it to enable integration with our wordpress based web sites, web portals or web services.
Develop or customize plugins/modules for specific web functionality or form processing.
Create new web portals using open-source content management systems like WordPress & Joomla; and customize it for required functionality.
Review business requirements and research for available 3rd party software or solution providers – for implementation or integration with our existing web services/portals.
Develop custom automation/reporting systems for data elements and cross-functional web services.
Develop front-end functionality modules/components using Javascript, AJAX, HTML/CSS and JQuery
Requirements and Primary Skills
BE or BTech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study.
Minimum 6 years experience in core web development/web programming or software development.
Solid command on (and the ability to hand code) – PHP, JQuery, Javascript, HTML & CSS.
Solid command on MySQL database, programming & optimization.
Sound understanding of object oriented and web programming standards.
Proficiency using development IDE’s and must possess strong debugging/problem solving skills.
